Which Lego molding processes can I use to make my own molding parts?

I know what you’re thinking: “Why would you want to mold Lego parts?”

Well, I’ve been making molding pieces for over 30 years.

The process is simple: I fill the molding tube with water and then slowly turn it upside down.

Once it is upside down, I slowly pour molding material into the mold to make molding threads.

Then, I fill a molding bottle with water again and turn it back over, and voila!

I’m done!

For example, if you’re making a mold for a Lego character, you can fill the tube about a third the width with water.

Then you can turn the mold upside-side down, so the water flows out, but the mold stays together.

Once the mold has cooled, you’re ready to start molding.

For instance, you might be making moldings for building Lego robots, or for furniture that can fit in a space.

If the solvent is too harsh for your specific mold, you may not be able to make your molding part.

For this reason, you want a mold that is free of solvent and has a good surface finish.

For the same reason, the water in a mold should be very cold, and not too hot.

To make mold, a mold is filled with a certain amount of water and the mold rod is turned upside side down.

When you turn the rod, the liquid inside the mold starts to dissolve into the water.

Once the liquid has dissolved, you turn your mold upside down and the rod starts to fill with the mold material.

You turn the whole process over, turn the tube over, then turn the tubing back over again.

At this point, you add more water to the tube so that you can add more material to the mold, and continue adding material to make more threads.

The process of mold making is usually quite simple, but there are a few special steps you need to take to make it go smoothly.
